Sic Bo is a dice game with a busy board and a very simple core. Three dice are rolled and you bet on what they will show. The layout can look intimidating the first time, like a scoreboard with too many columns, but once you know the main areas it clicks. We cannot say which Sic Bo tables L89 offers, because the live lobby needs a login and the providers we saw named on 5 November 2026 were JDB and BTi.
The basic round
Three dice are shaken, usually in a cup or by a mechanism on the table. Before they stop, you place chips on any areas of the betting board you like. After the roll, winning areas are highlighted and paid according to the table rules.
Everything you bet is about the three dice: single faces, combinations, sums or whether the total is high or low.
- Three dice per round
- Many bets can be placed at once
- Winning areas are lit up after the roll
The main bets
Small covers totals from four to ten, and Big covers eleven to seventeen. Triples usually cause these bets to lose, because the house keeps an edge there. Single-number bets win when the number appears on at least one die and often pay more if it appears on two or three.
| Bet | What it covers | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Big / Small | High or low total | Closest to even money |
| Single face | A chosen face on any die | Pays more if it repeats |
| Two-dice combination | A pair of faces | Moderate payout |
| Total | Exact sum | Payout varies by sum |
| Specific triple | Three of the same | Rare, pays big |
Know the edge before you chip in
Not all bets are equal. The flashy ones with large payouts typically have a bigger house edge than Big or Small. Many players use the simple bets for most of their play and add a small chip to a bonus area for fun. The table rules show payouts, so check them before betting.
Rounds arrive quickly. Our Dragon Tiger guide covers another fast game, and the same advice applies: set a limit, count rounds and walk away when you reach it.
Using the live lobby
Open the official L89 site or app and look in the live section. If Sic Bo appears, open the info or rules panel for payouts and limits. If not, it is not currently available to your account. See the live casino hub for how the lobby is organised and the roulette guide for a comparable bet-board game.
